Cornus is one of those lost towns of Sardinia. What remains is the site of the early medieval church with the burials, but once it was the flourishing hometown of Hampsicora who defied the romans.

The site of Cornus with the early Christian sarcophages. Cornus lies a little inland in the hills in front of the mountains. Originally a Pumic town it became after the late roman empire a Christian centre.
