A first visit to Sardinia is a matter of familiarising. Completely new impressions may fill us with curiosity, uncertainty. Will it be a pleasant stay? Maybe it is human to look for similarities that will put us at ease, to see the differences because not yet used to it. For the traveller, setting the first step on land, it is the moment of making a first acquaintance, to pass through the door that opens into a different world, an island that can call itself almost a continent by itself, Sardinia.
